500 grams boneless chicken (breast or thigh – whichever you like)
1/2 cup curd
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon oil
2 medium onions (finely chopped)
2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
3-4 tomatoes (ground)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder (or according to taste)
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon kasuri methi
1/2 cup fresh cream
Green coriander for garnishing

Easy Step-by-Step Recipe For Making Butter Chicken Recipe:-
1. Marinate the chicken
First of all, wash and clean the chicken thoroughly. Then add curd, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, turmeric, chili powder and garam masala in a bowl. Now add chicken to it and cover and keep it in the fridge for at least 1 hour. If kept overnight, it will taste even better.
2. Cook the Chicken
Heat some oil in a pan and add the marinated chicken and cook till 80%. This step is important because it helps the spices to get absorbed well in the chicken and it remains juicy.
3. Prepare the Gravy
Now add butter and some oil in a pan. As soon as the butter starts melting, add onions and fry till they turn golden. Then add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Now add tomato puree to it and cook on low flame till the oil separates. After this add turmeric, coriander powder, chili powder and salt. Let the gravy cook well for 10 minutes.
4. Add the Chicken and give the finishing touch
Now add the already cooked chicken to the gravy and cook on low flame for 10 minutes. Finally add crushed kasuri methi and add cream and cook for 2-3 minutes more.
Butter chicken is ready! Sprinkle some green coriander and a small piece of butter on top, and serve hot.
