Paneer Dosa Recipe - Make Restaurant Style At Home



You must have eaten dosa many times - Masala Dosa, Plain Dosa, Rava Dosa... but if you get a tasty stuffing of paneer in dosa, then its taste becomes something else. Paneer Dosa is very much in trend these days and everyone from children to adults likes it very much.


If you also want to make something different and tasty breakfast or dinner, then definitely try this paneer dosa once. It is easy to make and all its ingredients are available at home.



High Protein Paneer Masala Dosa 




Ingredients Required To Make Dosa-


For Dosa Batter:


2 cups rice


½ cup urad dal


1 tsp fenugreek seeds


Salt to taste


Water (for soaking and grinding)



For Paneer Stuffing:



200 grams paneer (grated)


1 onion (finely chopped)


1 tomato (finely chopped)


1 green chilli (finely chopped)


1/2 capsicum (optional)


1/2 tsp red chilli powder


1/4 tsp turmeric


1/2 tsp cumin seeds


Salt to taste


Some green coriander


1 tsp oil or ghee



This recipe is from South India and is famous all over the world for its taste.





Method To Make Paneer Dosa Batter -



1. First of all, wash rice, urad dal and fenugreek seeds thoroughly and soak them for 6-7 hours.


 2. Then grind it in a mixer by adding some water, so that a smooth paste is formed.


3. Take it out in a big vessel and keep it covered for 8-10 hours so that it gets fermented (yeast rises).


4. When the batter swells, then add salt to it according to taste.


(If you already have readymade dosa batter, then you can skip this step.)







Method Of Making Paneer Stuffing - 


1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds to it.


2. Then add onion and fry it till golden.


3. Now add tomatoes, green chilies and capsicum and cook for 2-3 minutes.


4. Now add turmeric, red chili and salt.


5. When the masala is cooked well, add grated paneer to it and cook while mixing for 2 minutes.


6. Finally add some green coriander on top and turn off the gas.







Method To Make Paneer Dosa - 


1. Heat a non-stick pan and sprinkle some water and wipe it with a cloth.


2. Now apply some oil on the pan and fill the batter in a bowl and spread it in a circular shape on the pan.


3. Bake the dosa on low flame and add some ghee or oil on top.


4. When the bottom side of the dosa becomes crispy, then add 2-3 spoons of paneer stuffing on top and spread it by pressing it lightly.


5. Now fold the dosa in half and bake it till it becomes light brown.


6. Take out the prepared paneer dosa on a plate.


Eat paneer dosa with these things -


Eat paneer dosa with coconut chutney, tomato chutney or sambar and you can feed tomato ketchup to children.







Things To Keep In Mind -


• Do not keep the batter too thick or too thin, it should have medium consistency.


 • Always use fresh paneer, don't buy old paneer from the market.


• You can make the stuffing spicy according to your taste.


• Use a non-stick pan so that the dosa comes out easily.


• If you want, you can also add cheese to the stuffing - this will make children like it more.
